Credit Card Authorization and Capture

If a customer selects the credit card payment option during the checkout process, TitleLeaf only authorizes the credit card. TitleLeaf does not capture the amount. Payment gateway policy recommends that capture should occur only after shipment of a physical product.

TitleLeaf has an internal setting to control if marking an order as Paid captures the credit card authorization amount or not. By default, this setting is off. In this default state, capturing payment must be performed manually through your merchant website. If you would like TitleLeaf to capture the amount authorized, open a support request.
