SFTP portrait ingestion

Portraits of contributors can be added to the database via the Contributor section of the admin website, via the Ingestion section of the admin website or via SFTP. This document describes the latter.

If you have yet to receive an SFTP account for ingestion purposes, please create a support ticket.

Please be aware of the general SFTP ingestion rules before uploading.

Image file specifications:

• JPG format

• RGB or grayscale colorspace

• Recommended dimensions: 100px x 100px, 72 dpi

Image file naming convention:

• Name files by contributor's full name, reverse order (last name then first name, lowercase, extension = "_pic.jpg")

• Examples:

  • Barbara Gowan => gowan_barbara_pic.jpg

  • Kwame Alexander => alexander_kwame_pic.jpg

  • Helen L. Wilbur => wilbur_helen_l_pic.jpg

Note: The ingest directory of the SFTP account is processed on regular basis. If your files do not appear in the ingestion list after a processing cycle, check the failed directory of the SFTP account.
